7th grade religion class is a journey through the story of Jesus. We study the life and times of Jesus as presented through our Blest Are We text. We also study the lives of saints to help us on our own journey through life.
8th grade religion class studies the history of the Catholic Church. We also use the Blest Are We text beginning with the marks of the Church and continuing on through the changes that have occurred through the centuries.
Both classes will gain knowledge of their faith and of the liturgy. They will receive moral training and spend time in prayer. They will become familiar with Catholic terminology. They will study Catholic social teaching and learn the value of living in a Christian community. During the second semester the Fully Alive curriculum will be incorporated in their classes. Finally, they will discuss the need for evangelization and ecumenism. Each class will also be responsible for preparing two (2) masses during the school year.
