The first focus for the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in music class this year is preparing for their visit to the North Carolina Symphony.
We will go to Meymandi Hall in Raleigh on February 2, 2010, to hear the school edicational concert.The focus at this year's concert is "What Makes Music Music."
We study composers from around the world and the musical concepts that are featured in their music. These concepts include melody, harmony, tempo, dynamics, and form. This year one of our composers is currently a member of the brass section of the Symphony.
