Congratulations to the STM girls’ volleyball team for their fabulous 3rd place finish at the Joe Uniacke Memorial Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, October 8, at the Triangle Volleyball Club in Durham!  The team won three straight matches in the morning to make it to the gold division in afternoon play.  They lost a very closely contested 3 set match to the eventual champions, St. Raphael’s. Pictured below are members of the team along with Coach Ed Raymond and Assistant Coach John Gunn. Well done, Lady Knights!

 The schedule for the next two weeks is as follows:

  • Thursday, 2-9 - Practice  -  3 – 4:30Pm
  • Friday, 2-10  - Open gym – 3 - 4:30PM   This will be a “fun day.”   We will have a basketball Olympiad, including events for foul shooting, 3 pt shots, around the world shooting, full court dribbling, etc..
  • Saturday, 2-11 - K of C Foul Shooting Contest – 9 – 11AM (boys and girls – 10-14 - bring proof of age and parent signature). Practice Game will take place 11:30 – 1PM

St Thomas More School is a member of the TCSAC-Triangle Catholic Schools Athletic Conference.  The teams in our conference are made up of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  These teams will compete against other middle school teams. The middle schools who also participate within this league are;

  • St. Michaels
  • St. Mary Magdelene
  • St. Raphael
  • The Franciscan School

 A very important purpose of the Triangle Catholic School Athletic Conference (TCSAC) is to promote and uphold policies which encourage good sportsmanship, fair play and Christian fellowship.  Positive behaviors and attitudes by our athletes, coaches and fans are part of the mission of our Catholic school conference. Any negative criticism about officials or opponents has no place in the TCSAC.
