The fourth grades this year continue to work on developing recorder skills.  They prepared American the Bueatiful to play when we attended the NC Symphony School Concert in November of 2008.  In addition to preparing for the event by studying the composers and their music we have also begun a unit on Story Telling.  We incorporate singing, instrument playing and acting in preparing our Folk Tales for presentation.  

The Fourth grade also takes a trip to the library to study composition on the computer lab in the library.  We use Finale Notepad to compose short songs that they then play in class.  We go to the library to work on composition on the last Tuesday of each month during their regular music time.
