The Third Grade this year continues to work on singing movement and playing instruments as a group and in January we will begin studying recorder. More information will be given to the parents about ordering recorders and books at a later date.
We will also be preparing to go to the NC Symphony Educational Concert in Raleigh at Meymandi Concert Hall on Feb 2, 2010. Please check the general music website for more information and a downloadable copy of the symphony student book that we will be studying in class. This year we will be studying the basic elements of music such as melody, rhythm, dynamics, tempo, texture and form.
Last year in addition to our class work, we prepared a program of Christmas music to be presented at the Charles House in Carrboro.
