Our First Graders are learning songs from our American Heritage.
These songs are recommended by the National Music Educators’ Association as songs that all children should be able to sing. As part of our class, we will be learning the basic elements of music in our studies. These include melody, rhythm, dynamics, tempo and form.
In addition to movement, singing and playing instruments, the first grades will be preparing a Rain Forest program to be presented to their parents and the lower school on March 8, 2010.
