School Operation 2009-10
Below is an overview of the expected traffic patterns for the 2009-10 school year as well as maps indicating the construction phases:
January Update:
Sitework will begin on the gym parking lot, between the Youth House and the playground fence, the week of January 4th. The work will include grading, cut and fill to repair unsuitable soils, stabilizing and paving. Heavy equipment will be used, and it is estimated that this work may last for up to 4 weeks.
During this time, i.e. the whole month of January, please note the following:
- There will be no vehicular access or parking available in this area. Please park by the church parking lot and walk down to the school or parish office.
- The Caring and Sharing Center will be closed through Feb 1st.
- School pick up traffic will not loop around the area; traffic will have to stack up along Carmichael St.
- Parents must continue to clearly post the child name placard in thier vehicle during pick-up to expedite the process.
- There are no other changes to the internal driveway or exit traffic.
- Morning drop off will not be affected.
All year:
- No Parking along sidewalks on campus( even to pick up a child for Dr.Apt. or a sick child leaving early)
- No waiting on campus for pick up. Wait until 2:40 p.m. on service road or church parking lot.
- Pre-K pick up wait on service road until 11:30 a.m.
- Extend drop off period to 7:30 to 8:00 a.m.( no tardiness will be noted until Oct.1)
- Extend pick up period to 2:45 to 3:15 p.m.
- Volunteers needed for recess times to watch around construction areas and control children ( 11:30-1:00)
- Volunteers/Teachers needed to effectively control traffic schemes in the morning and afternoon.

TRAFFIC PATTERNS:
Phase I: starts Mon Aug 31, ends Fri Sept 18 (or earlier)
Phase II: starts Mon Sept 21, ends Fri Sept 25 (or earlier)
Phase III: starts Mon Sept 28, ends Fri Oct 2 (or earlier)
Phase IV: after Mon Oct 5 (or earlier) through the end of the year.
Condition: all driveways and parking areas open
- Drop off: along school driveway and walking up to church
- Pick up: at LS and US doors
- Access: via North driveway
- Egress: all driveways
- Parking: all areas open
