Children Helping Children

3B has been very active in helping out the community! Every year, the children of 3B work toward the goal of reading 100 books. When we complete this project, 100 books are donated to a needy class somewhere in the U.S. and we are added to the Scholastic Readers Hall of Fame.

Charles House ........FA LA LA LA LA!!!

December usually finds 3B joyously caroling at the Charles House, a senior citizen home in Chapel Hill, spreading Christmas cheer. Donned in Santa hats, the children enthusiastically play musical instruments to accompany their voices. It is quite obvious by the smiles and the toe-tapping, that the residents thoroughly enjoy this holiday entertainment. This is always a heart-warming experience for both the children and the elderly folks alike!

Ronald McDonald House 

We have also taken upon ourselves a continuing mission to help the folks at Ronald McDonald House.  We send the residents monthly donations of things like family entertainment items, food items, kitchen and laundry items, house items, and personal items. It is very rewarding to be able to put a ray of sunshine into the day of a person who has a cross to bear! Helping others is what we are all about!
