7:40 Children arrive in gym and sit with their classmates
 
8:00 Prayers, Pledge of Allegiance
 
8:05 To Classroom, unpack backpacks
 
8:15 Whole group--prepare calendar, read message on board, discuss topical items (family, school, country, world)
 
8:25 Journal writing and reading--each child reads orally once per week
 
8:45 Language Arts-- includes handwriting, reading, grammar and spelling through
a) small group
b) whole group
c) centers
 
9:30 Snack/recess (30 minutes) each morning
 
12:00 Lunch
 
12:30 Recess
 
1:00 Afternoon activities include math, religion, specials classes***
 
2:30 Closing prayers, announcements from the office
 
2:40 Dismissal to car lines, bus, aftercare
 
Mass or Morning Prayer is most Fridays at 10:30.
